My Top 12 of 2012

Happy New Year's Eve, friends!  I can't believe it's almost 2013...I'm still trying to catch up from 2010...haha!  I think I blinked and a few years just fast-forwarded on by...sigh.  I've never compiled a yearly list of my favorite layouts before, but I wanted to do it this year.  It was a lot harder than I thought it would be...only choosing 12 of my favorite pages!  I was originally only going to choose ten, but I went with 12 instead.  Here they are in no particular order:

1.  This page was created for a ScrapFIT Workout to use misting on your page.  Not only do I love how my stitched stars turned out, but I just adore these pictures of my chunk...haha!

2.  This page was created for Challenge Me use the word "new" in your title.  I love the bright colors, the misting, the paint smudges, and I really love how I was able to recreate the chevrons in Reese's swimsuit.

3.  This was another ScrapFIT workout, but for the Warm-Up.  The rules were to create some sort of cluster on your page.  I love how this one turned I was able to use mist & paint again :)

4.  This is one of my favorites...not only because of the gorgeous photo of Reese, but because I won Honorable Mention at My Mind's Eye with it!  I couldn't believe it!

5.  Ahhh...some Echo Park goodness!  This was created for a challenge at My Scraps & More...I love the paint drips and the color I had just started using washi tape!  A definite fave of mine now!

6.  This page was created with some MME Lime Twist for My Scraps and More several months ago.  I love the simplicity of this page, and the photos are just so cute.  I love the blues in the photos and how they are the first thing you see.

7.  Another Challenge Me Happy page...scrapping about yourself 10 years ago.  I was teaching high school and I was the JV Cheerleading Coach.  I like the layout of this one and how I incorporated the school colors into it.  It brings back lots of sentimental memories.

8.  Another My Scraps layout...this one featured some Fancy Pants.  It was for the DT monthly reveal.  I love these photos, and of course, the paint drips & smudges.

9.  This page was for Artful Delight...lots of MME in this kit.  I just love the design of this one...the little clothespins, the matching paint drips, and the wooden hearts.  Plus...the adorable photos of my little Pippy :)

10.  This is a more recent page I created for My's based on a Kristine Davidson sketch.  It was featured on the My Scraps Sketches blog a few weeks ago.  I love the Echo Park papers and all the fun bits & pieces at the bottom.

11.  Another My Scraps page...this one features the January kit, and it's based on an exclusive Jenny Evans sketch included in the kit.  I just love the picture of me and Marshall...all the strips, and it features one of my very first Cameo cuts!

12.  Ahhhh...washi love!  This was for use washi tape.  That's all I used :)  Lots of strips.  I added some stamps and buttons.  Love the bright colors all mixed together and the sweet pictures.

I can't believe I narrowed my favorites down...there were so many more that I just love!  It's fun to go back and see what you've accomplished over the past 12 months.  I created just over 200 layouts.  I served on the Artful Delight DT, and I made the My Scraps & More DT.  I continued to serve as the ScrapFIT Warm-Up Coach, and I continued on the Challenge Me Happy DT.  I got a blog makeover and got my Cameo.  I won a few challenges & blog hop prizes.  I also made lots of new scrappy friends and became better friends with others.  It's been a great year scrappy-wise, and I can't wait to see what 2013 has in store!

Three My Scraps pages

Hey there, scrappy friends :)  It's the last Sunday of the year...can you believe it?!  I really don't see how an entire year has flown by.  It seems like we were just getting ready to welcome 2012, and here we are nearly saying goodbye to it.  Before we do, though, I wanted to share three pages I've created in the past few weeks for My Scraps and More.  They were all created for various challenges & blog posts.

This page was created using the Thankful collection from Authentique...totally not my style at all!  However, it wound up growing on me and now I think it's amazing :)  It was perfect for these Thanksgiving photos of an event at my daughter's school.  I used my new Cameo to cut my title...can I just say how amazing this machine is?!  This page was made for a blog post last week.

This layout was based on the latest sketch (#9) on the My Scraps Sketches blog...the amazing Kristine Davidson created the sketch, and it's awesome!  I used the January "You Are My...Happy" kit from My Scraps & More...I've created SO many projects with this one kit!  I especially love this patterned background I cut from my Cameo...I love that it can cut those little teeny parts so smoothly.  Check out the sketch still have time to join in and perhaps win a prize!

This layout is featured on the blog today.  I used the Acorn Ave collection from Crate Paper.  This is based on a lift, and the challenge will be up on the boards in the morning.  There are some really busy papers in this collection, but the colors are beautiful, and I love how this one came together.

You can find all of these collections in the My Scraps store right HERE.

I'm caught up now with my blog posts...haha!  Life has gotten in the way lately and I haven't been posting as often as I'd like.  Tomorrow I'll be posting my top 10 pages of's going to be hard to choose my faves!

Thank you so much for stopping by....have a great day!

A layout for Love My Tapes

It has been a while since I've been able to play along with a challenge just for fun.  I've been wanting to take part in a Love My Tapes challenge for a long time, and I finally made time to do just that.  The challenge was to use decorative tape to create a banner.  I love banners and I love tape, so this was super fun!

I brought out my So Happy Together collection from Echo Park that I need to use up and created this page:

Thanks for stopping by! I have more pages to share over the weekend. Have a great Friday, friends!

A few My Scraps layouts

Good morning, scrappy friends!  It seems as if my scrappy posts are few and far between these days.  I am finally able to sit down after a super busy week and post a few pages that I made a few weeks ago.  Thank goodness we are on Christmas Break now, so hopefully I'll have lots of scrappy time in the near future.  I still have to wrap presents...I haven't even started!  Once I get started, I'll get in the "wrapping zone," but I just haven't felt like doing it yet.  It's on my To Do list for today, though!

I have three pages to share today that were up on the My Scraps & My Scraps Sketches Blogs recently.  The first one was up on the blog a few weeks ago.  I finally got my hands on an arrow stencil and I was dying to use it!  I also wanted to try out the triangle trend.  I found a great sketch at Scrapfriends and got busy.  I used the gorgeous papers from Studio Calico's Heyday collection.  I have also been enjoying my new early Christmas Cameo!  How did I survive without this thing all these years?!  Haha!  It's amazing!  I love all the cuts you can get, but I really love that it cuts any font on your computer!

Here is the sketch:

This page was based off of last week's sketch at the My Scraps Sketch Blog.  My silly Paige decided to chew on this doll's hat...what a goof she is!  :)  These are papers from an old K & Company Halloween stack.  I just love cute Halloween papers!

And another Halloween page...this one was up on the boards a few weeks ago for a {play} challenge.  The challenge was to create some sort of grid on your page.  I used the same K & Company papers for this one.

Thanks so much for stopping by today!  I hope you have a wonderful Saturday and an even better Christmas!

My Scraps & More January Kit Reveal

Hey  there, scrappy friends! I wanted to share a few projects I created using the January Kit "You Are My...Happy" from My Scraps and More.  I have to say that I really love this kit!  The colors are just gorgeous...the blues, yellows & greys really look great together.  I had lots of fun creating these pages!

This page was easy to throw together.  I just created strips from several of the patterned papers and added them to the top and bottom.  My arrows are the negative cuts from another arrow shape on one of my other pages.  I loved the way they looked, so I didn't want to waste them.  I love the folder tabs that are included in the kit...the good thing is that you can cut them and only use one tab at a time and you still have one of the same left over to use again :)

I have always admired the amazing work of Georgia Heald, and I was inspired by one of her beautiful pages.  She used almost these same papers, and I wanted to try out her style.  My page doesn't come close to her masterpiece, but it was fun trying something new!  If you haven't seen Georgia's work, check it out here.  Lots of amazing inspiration!

I created this page on Kraft cardstock to show how great these papers play off of any neutral background.  I used a chevron stamp from my stash & some inks to dirty up my background a little.  I really love the journaling spots paper...lots of places for storytelling.  And don't forget about the washi that!

I love this page...I don't scrap photos of just me and my husband often.  I've only done a few in my scrappy life, and every time I do, I wonder why I don't do it more often.  It's fun to break away from the kids once in a while and focus on us.  This page is based on an exclusive sketch that is included in this kit.  I added the flower, brad & button from my stash.

If you like what you see, you can purchase this kit right HERE in the My Scraps store.  Use the code MISSY20 and get 20% off!  Sounds like a great Christmas gift to yourself or for a scrappy friend :)

Thank you so much for stopping by today!  Have a wonderful Sunday!

ScrapFIT #82 & Challenge Me Happy #36

Hey there, scrappy friends!  Another week has flown by since I posted any!  Why does this month seem to just make time go into fast-forward mode?  It seems I've been going non-stop lately, and I'm refusing to do anything stressful today :)  We're having a lazy day at hustle & bustle, which I love!  I hope you're able to slow down a bit and relax with some fun scrappy inspiration :)

I have two reveals to share this lovely Saturday.  First up is Workout #82 at ScrapFIT.  It's one of my faves again...a Diana Fisher SKETCH!  I just love her creativity, and her sketches always inspire me.

Check out the fun prize for the winner of this challenge...a LowCal FITKit from Paper Issues!  If you don't want to wait to win this, you can head over there and buy one right now :)

Here's what I came up with...a cute little Halloween layout!

Head over to the blog HERE to check out the sketch and to see how the other DT members interpreted it.  Lots of great inspiration over there :)

The latest challenge at Challenge Me Happy is an easy one...all you have to do is create a project with the word "LITTLE" on it somewhere!  This is something everyone can do...and it can be interpreted in so many ways :)  Here's what I came up with...another Halloween page :)

The prize for the winner of this challenge is a paper pack from My Little Shoebox!  That's definitely worth playing for :)  Head on over the blog to check out the other DT members' layouts...lots of fun "little" things :)

Thanks for stopping by, and have a wonderful day!
